It is sickening to be assaulted by a store manager of Autozone, Inc. Considering there is decentralization in most national companies, it does not dismiss AutoZone from their obligation to control their employees and prevent intentional harassment in their stores. Complaint submitted to AutoZone Customer Service: I entered my local store located in W. Jefferson NC and upon arrival the manager on duty was displaying a distasteful demeanor. I was in this store less than a minute and I began to experience blurred vision and disorientation while I was looking at light bulbs just inside the door. I began to rub the back of my neck and there was an oily substance all over my neck up into the hair line. I continued to rub this spot and observed this manager making nervous expressions which identified disappointment. Even at the register, this manager was not friendly and continued to convey hateful expressions. The behaviors I experienced as a customer are inappropriate in a retail setting. I know for a fact that the District manager of AutoZone is responsible for the conduct of all employees under their supervision. It is to my dismay it is necessary to contact AutoZone and report this type of harassment. I have spoken with an attorney who informed me I can seek legal remedy against AutoZone for harassment and battery sustained by one of your employees.
