Wal-Mart, Auto Zone and CVS will be coming to Manor, Texas as soon as the summer of 2013. By July 4, 2013, Wal-Mart should be completed and the other businesses should be completed shortly afterwards. The job opportunities that will follow these businesses will greatly impact Manor's economy. Opportunities for employment will be open to Manor High School students and Manor residents. The retail stores will affect local business in Manor. Wal-Mart will create compactions amongst local stores by providing the same services with better quality. Neighbors from Elgin, areas east of Austin, and Pflugerville will be attracted by the new stores. This will increase the number of customers, which will cause an increase in traffic. The new stores will be more convenient for Manor residents, because the stores will be right around the corner of their houses. The nearest CVS is currently located in Pflugerville. As oppose of the new CVS that is opening near the Rita Ford dealership on 290 and 212. Stores this close will allow Manor residents to save gas, money and time.
